Financing is completed for the 950 Falmouth Road affordable housing project, which is known as LeClair Village, and site clearing is set to begin early this month.
A formal groundbreaking will be scheduled in late spring, and the project will take about 18 months to complete.
These were takeways from an update to the Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee last Tuesday, January 24, by David Quinn, development director for Housing Assistance Corporation of Cape Cod.
Delphi Construction is working with the Town of Mashpee and subcontractors on a site survey and to complete erosion control measures before site clearing takes place, Mr. Quinn said.
Town Planner Evan R. Lehrer also presented updates on several affordable housing projects in the works.
Regarding the project being considered at 209 Old Barnstable Road, Mr. Lehrer said he has had productive conversations with neighbors.
